Looking Forward: Together with Principal Rick Dustin-Eichler and Superintendent Renee Sanchez

Education in Vermont is at a pivotal moment. The challenges are complex, the needs are high, the incredible importance of school leadership is clear. As school leaders, we routinely experience new legislation and new initiatives that try to raise the bar and attempt to solve problems. Unfortunately, these initiatives often lack cohesion, funding, and clear desired outcomes. This session will be led by an active Vermont school leader for Vermont school leaders. Utilizing an appreciative inquiry model, the facilitated session will provide space for the collective wisdom of the group to come through and provide the start of a shared vision of top priorities, creative going forward in Vermont schools. We will learn from the collective expertise of our colleagues while discovering the best of” leadership, teaching and learning in each of our schools. We will analyze these strengths and use them as the catalyst for a conversation about the future of education. We will conclude with a call to action for next steps in looking forward together.
