Dr. Thomas R. Guskey, Professor Emeritus, College of Education, University of Kentucky – “Differentiating Remote Instruction with Mastery Learning” – Join Dr. Guskey for a timely presentation and discussion relative to mastery learning in a remote setting. Presentation will include small group activities, interaction with colleagues, and question and answer sessions. The objectives of the sessions are the following:


  1. Participants will learn about Mastery Learning strategies in virtual instructional settings and how these strategies can help teachers improve student learning at all grade levels.
  2. Participants will explore strategies for implementing Mastery Learning for children in different subject areas and at all grade levels.
  3. Participants will review guidelines for follow-up and support for teachers implementing Mastery Learning in a virtual platform, and for informing parents of these procedures.
Cancellation Policy: For all Vermont Principals’ Association professional learning events, the VPA must be notified of any cancellations no later than 10 days prior to the event. Cancellation notifications received after the 10 day deadline will be subject to a fee of 50% of the total cost of registration.
