Power Dynamics To Recognize, Navigate and Eradicate:

The Path to Building Positive School Culture

With Janice Case

California State Coordinator, National Association for School Leadership

Thursday, March 23, 2017

9:00 am to 3:30 pm

VSBIT Conference Room, 52 Pike Drive, Berlin

School culture is at the heart of school success. Power dynamics can either make or break that culture. Recognizing the debilitating role that power struggles can play in a school is essential as is the school leader’s ability to increase their team’s capacity to avoid power struggles.

This full day experience is geared toward helping school leaders identify how power struggles are manifested in a school and lead the learning to eliminate them through effective professional learning for school staff and deliberate growth activities with students.

Part one of the day is facilitated by author and speaker, Janice Case. Part two is an ‘ed-camp'-style experience designed so participants lead their own learning

Who should attend? This workshop is primarily for Assistant Principals (PK – 12) but anyone taking on issues of power and healthy school culture is welcome.

Workshop Fee: $199/VPA members and $219/non-members. The fee includes food and Janice Case's recent book, From Power Struggles to Conflict Resolution.
Coffee and continental breakfast will be available when you arrive, and lunch from Le Bons Temps Gourmet will be provided at noon.
