ideas and experiences between student members.
Grades 1-4:
Student councils are facilitated at individual schools with VPA
support.
Grades 5-12:
The state student council’s officers are elected at the annual conference.
Monthly meetings are held at the VPA office in Montpelier. Any student
may attend the scheduled meetings.
All Vermont students are invited to attend the state conference,
held annually. At that time, any student interested in serving on
the state student council may run in the elections. Elected positions
include: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, public
relations, parliamentarian, technical officer and representatives-at-large
(2 representatives each from grades 5-8 and 9-12). The newly elected
